Troubleshooting Your Garage Door Not Working
Unplug the motor from the power source. Make sure that the garage door is down and closed.
Check to see if the spring is broken, if emergency cord is pulled with door being on an open position along with a broken spring it will come crashing down.
If the spring is not broken, then the problem could be with the motor. Test if the wall button is working by running it a few times. Make sure the sensors located on the bottom of each side of the track systems are properly aligned and powered. Misaligned sensors could cause a headache and is a simple fix.
Make sure the motor unit responds to your remote and keypad. Replace the batteries on them when necessary
.If the problem with your garage door is not related to the opener, then it’s related to the tracks, the rollers or the springs.
